HOME OWNER FAQ'S
1. Do I have to move everything from my home?
No, you need not move anything from your home, if you don’t wish too. We will identify storage places in your home that can be locked with some of your personal items like linen, cutlery and crockery. We recommend any expensive and breakable décor items are also safely stored to avoid any loss or damage. We will ensure that your stored personal items are inspected regularly.
2. How do I know once a booking is confirmed at my home?
Once a booking is confirmed (where the payment is received), the vacation manager will send you a message with the booking details. You can also login to your account from our home page at any time to check the status of bookings and earnings.
3. What is the profile of people using my home?
We use multiple guest screening mechanisms to ensure that your home is used by families and individuals with good backgrounds, and those that will value, look after and use your home just as they would their own. We speak to every guest before confirming the booking and ensure that the home rules are accepted by them.
4. Do I have to pay anything when using my home?
Absolutely not. You get to use your home as you always have. Additionally, you have access to all our hospitality services, at no additional cost to you. To top it all, you will not need to worry about doing any upkeep and maintenance related work. The professional home staff will cater to your every need, ensuring that you enjoy you vacation in your home, to the fullest.
5. I have some existing staff in my home, how will that be handled?
We welcome, and prefer, if your staff continue in their respective roles. We will conduct an assessment before we start and discuss the options with you. Our team will train them in the required areas, to help them be at par with our other staff members, to deliver a certain service standard.
6. Do you take the home on a lease?
We will enter into a management agreement with the owner of the home. We have no occupation rights of your home. The management agreement will stipulate you have appointed us as managers to look after your home and look after guests visiting your home.
7. What is the next step? How do we begin the process?
Once we have met and agreed on the basic terms of the arrangement, we will schedule a visit to your home to conduct an audit, with an aim to highlight any work that would need to be done before we start our operations and to assess the income generating potential of you home. We will discuss this report with you and, collectively, decide on a way forward.
8. Do you provide a minimum guarantee?
Given that these properties are homes, minimum guarantees would not be in your best interest. Accordingly, we don’t offer any. Since these are homes, we must operate on a lean model that can thrive on low occupancies. As we are very selective on who goes to your home, we prefer to have occupancies between 35%-45%. Initially occupancies can even be lower, especially if your home has never been offered before. We guarantee that you will not incur any costs or hassles in the day to day running of your home. We aim to maximize earnings for both parties involved - you and us.
