After years as an investment banker and management professional Aman decided to follow his heart and became an entrepreneur. His passion for hospitality, travelling and all things outdoors helped him transition seamlessly into founding and running V are Family. His desire to provide guests with the perfect holiday drives him to be involved in every step of the selection process for vacation homes. Living out of Delhi, Aman spends his days working, playing golf and enjoying the company of his wife Puja and their two children Armaan and Nayantara. He is a graduate of Babson College, USA, and has worked as an investment banker in New York and with Ernst & Young in India.

Basanti is a hospitality professional who has worked and trained, across the country, at some of the Oberoi Group’s most prestigious hotels. Her extensive experience in the industry provides her with greater insight while running the Company’s back office operations. An industry professional of more than ten years, Basanti is responsible for staff training, home fit outs, and home keeping. Born and raised in the verdant state of Sikkim, Basanti has since relocated to Delhi where she works and lives with her sister. She has a degree in Hotel Management from SBIHM, Kolkata, and is a graduate of the demanding Oberoi Centre for Learning & Development.

If you have stayed at one of our Kasauli homes chances are you have met Karuna. The Chief of the destination, she handles all our properties, staff and personalised guest requirements effortlessly. Having spent three decades in academics, and as an educator, Karuna now brings the full force of her compassion, enthusiasm and responsibility to her new role; providing guests with the most comfortable experience possible. A freethinker and nurturer at heart, Karuna, who is originally from Kolkata, currently lives in Kasauli.

Swati Tambat worked for a software start-up when she first felt the pull towards the travel industry. Always an eager traveller, she soon decided to follow her heart and joined V are Family where her meticulous manner has helped her develop the strong ability to manage a team and excel within the company. Now Chief of Goa, she manages all daily operations at our beach bungalows. Having spent her childhood in Maharashtra, Swati has been staying in Goa with her parents for the last 24 years, and is an avid foodie. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication and Videography.

Our Captain of Accounts previously worked as an accountant for three years before joining the company. He is responsible for all our financial records, revenue management and payments. A member of our central team, his desire to meet challenges head on, and the ability to multitask, help him provide accurate and timely financial reports. Mohammad holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce.

After many years working in Bangalore in advertising and films Hema Bedi decided it was time for a new adventure. She now handles all guest relations in Goa, ensuring every single person has a personalised stay with the best food and drink available. Born and brought up in the cities of Bangalore and Mysore, Hema is now settled in Goa, where she enjoys spending time with her son and daughter-in-law. She has an interest in interior design and experimenting and trying different cuisines. She is a graduate of the Arts from Mysore University.

Our Chief of Mussoorie, Guna Joshi originally worked in the world of advertising before pivoting to the hospitality industry where he has now worked for more than a decade. Due to his ability to juggle multiple projects and teams at the same time, as well as his expert handling of guest relations, he is the ideal man to lead our on-site teams. Guna is a local of Mussoorie, where he stays with his wife Illene and daughter Ishita.

A management professional with 17 years in the Indian Air Force and 25 years in the SOS children care NGO, Mohan Joshi is an experienced man. He currently runs our Nainital homes, where his soft-spoken and calm nature make a great host who puts the needs of the guests above all else. Mohan lives in Bhimtal, and has two children, Vivek and Vasudha. He has an undergraduate degree from Punjab University and an MBA from IGNOU.

A graduate from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), New York, Puja specialized in Fashion Merchandising Management. She has since worked with major fashion brands In New York and New Delhi including Donna Karan, Trusardi, JJ Vallaya. A thoroughbred Delhitie, in the past 15 years has incubated and managed a few niche brands including her own fusion womenswear label ‘Puja Batra’, an Indian womenswear brand ‘Inchie Tape’ and most lately a healing crystals brand ‘Mineral Muse’ with products across home furnishings and women’s accessories. Puja has been involved, in many capacities, with V are Family form its incubation. She currently is a Vacation Manager. Puja is Pizza and Coffeeholic, she is married to Aman with two children Armaan and Nayantara.
